Amy Yedinak is the President and Founder of AK Government Solutions. She started the company in August 2013 with the vision of creating a team of communications experts that could guide clients at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to success by implementing effective, tactical, and strategic communications.
Amy knows how imperative communication is to organizations and businesses. She firmly believes that a successful organization can be directly attributed to communicating effectively and efficiently.
Amy has been in the communications – federal contracting industry for over 20 years. During her time as a communications consultant for the federal government, she realized there was not a company within her environment that focused solely on overall communications consulting and support. This was her opportunity to provide her clients with a team of experts to fulfill that need. Throughout her career, she orchestrated successful communication campaigns for nationwide rollouts of Air Traffic Control technology and internal-agency communication campaigns.
Prior to working in the federal contracting industry, Amy spent several years with various Public Relations agencies in New York City and Atlanta.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Georgia Southern University.
In Amy’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughters along with her horses. She is an avid equestrian.
Shelby Keefe has provided communications support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for over 20 years, having worked with the Satellite Navigation program and the Aviation Safety organization’s Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) team before joining AK Government Solutions. She holds a degree in Marketing and International Business from the Pennsylvania State University, with a minor in International Studies.
Currently, Shelby holds the position of Communications Team Lead for the AK Government Solutions consultants supporting the FAA’s Surveillance Services Directorate. In addition, she supports the FAA’s Surveillance and Broadcast Services (SBS) group. In this role, Shelby has worked on a variety of projects including the Equip ADS-B outreach effort, internal and external ADS-B communications, executive talking points development, web content management, article development, brochure development, and outreach event coordination.
Shelby lives in Severna Park, Maryland with her husband and their two children. They stay very busy with the kids’ ice hockey teams and, in the “off season”, they enjoy boating on the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay.
